In this video I discuss why I believe the best time to loc hair is in/or before the start of the winter months. I also go over my go-to style and protective/ winter styles which I do between re-twists, during cold months and how I mask the fuzzy period. Don’t expect an “ugly stage” from me hunty because theres nothing “ugly” or “dreadful” about my locs!
Sometimes I look up and a week has passed by and you have done nothing to your hair, or at least for me. I’m a full time student with several other things happening in my life and at times my hair doesn’t get the attention it deserves or need. But, I’m human. This is a video of how I deal with my hair in this dangerously dry state.

Growing up I use to hate my hair, I’d look to everyone else with press and curls and braids with pretty beads and I wished I could have it. I grew up in a conservative family, so I wasn’t allowed to straighten, perm, pretty much do anything manipulative to my hair. At the same time I went to a catholic school out of town that was also conservative, we were prohibited from hair beads, hair barrettes, anything colorful that would “distract” from our uniform.
